No. The services we provide and the hair replacements we use are all individually produced. When you come to us, rest assured your total satisfaction is our ultimate goal.
-
Take Versacchi CTR hair replacements for instance. Each one is custom fitted and styled. Compare that to "wigs" or "hairpieces" sold online. Over 93% of those online offers are never used more than once.
(They are that bad!)
-
Imagine someone saying you could get denture corrections, ear analysis, eye-testing, GP/MD diagnoses & breast checks online. You would think they were all daft!
-
If Versacchi thought it could work, we would do it. However any wig or hairpiece out of a box looks exactly that... just another aged 1 size fits all wig or hairpiece out of a box. Aren't you worth more ? |

Unfortunately, this is a very common side effect of chemotherapy. Chemotherapy drugs attack very fast dividing cells (like cancer cells) but they also attack similar cells in the same fashion - like the hair follicles. If you are about to undergo chemotherapy, it is best to visit Versacchi as soon as possible. This allows us the time needed to start designing and matching your hair replacement to your own natural hair colour, texture and length. If you're currently undergoing chemo treatments and your hair has already started to thin, a recent photo will help, but is not essential. |

|
As we discussed above, chemotherapy is a very strong and fast working medication targeting rapidly dividing cells in your body. Unfortunately it can't determine which cells are good and which are bad. This means the medication also targets your hair - since the follicles producing your hair are producing very quickly dividing cells as well. You may lose all your hair or it may just thin out, depending on your treatments. Fortunately, this hair loss usually isn't permanent and your hair should begin to grow back within 4 to 6 months of your final prescribed chemo treatment. |

We design your each hair replacement with both human hair and varied leading-edge medical grade aurora fibers and resins which closely match your own hair's original colour and texture. |

A healthy average adult can lose up to 50 - 100 hairs a day. Chemotherapy of course accelerates this process, and the side effects of medical treatments do vary. Once your medical team has explained what kind of hair loss you may experience, we are there to help you thereafter. |

Not if you use Versacchi! A lot of people have old fashioned ideas about hair replacement. Most people think all replacements can be spotted a mile away. Well, that can be the case if you go to a bad provider or invest without professional advice; the good news is, Versacchi have pioneered and accomplished many technological breakthroughs which are truly fantastic and all developments and designs look and feel as good as normal hair. |

People often ask how long their medically related hair replacements last. It is very individual - like anything else, it depends on the person. We don't want to mislead anyone by giving an approximation which could be way off in their individual experience. However, between 4 - 8 months is a realistic time period before the hair replacement should be disgarded or replaced. |
|
|
|
This really depends on the individual. Some people notice their hair growing back before their chemo ends. For others it begins to grow back after chemo is complete. The hair usually comes back in little fuzzy tufts at first, but then gradually thickens as it grows. In some cases, people say their hair became curlier after it grew back, or actually appeared a little darker. But for most people, the re-grown hair is essentially the same as it was before chemo. Your hair usually will grow completely back within 4-5 months. |

After treatment, your hair and scalp remains sensitive for awhile, so continue to use gentle hair products. If you've lost your hair, it may regrow with a different texture and body. You must wait 6 months from your last chemo treatment before considering colouring, perming, or straightening your hair. Talk with your doctor before using any hair processing chemicals. This is particularly important if you are on continuing medication. Many also opt to use HairBeam there are no adverse effects from using our HairBeam for accelerating your hair re-growth after chemotherapy. |

Currently, there is no known prevention for hair loss due to chemotherapy. Through the years, attempts have been made to reduce hair loss by using cold ice caps. These techniques were thought to reduce the blood flow to the hair follicles, thus limiting the chemotherapy exposure. Unfortunately, these techniques did little more than cause headaches and have been abandoned in most settings. Nutrition is paramount however! Your body is undergoing severe stress with the chemotherapy treatments. You should talk with a licensed accredited nutritionist to find out what are the best foods to eat. We can't by law give out specific information in this field, but we do highly recommend asking your oncology nurse on the proper foods and nutritional supplements to consider. |
